A grown-up makeover for a laidback beach bar on one of Ibiza’s liveliest beaches. Located on the calmer southern shores of Playa d’en Bossa, Beachouse Ibiza has been drawing a playful crowd since 2014. Owners Sid and Sonija Mehta, originators of several iconic venues on Ibiza, required a refresh that would reflect the island’s bohemian spirit and soulful side.
Inspired by the building’s thatched roof and surrounding palm trees, the new look ramps up the tropical atmosphere while maintaining a strong sense of place. Stripped back interiors in an earth-toned palette allow the natural elements to take centre stage. Graphic apertures and a central skylight infuse the free-flowing spaces with soft sunlight, reflected in smooth surfaces of hand-pressed concrete and traditional limestone plaster. Gentle contours and tactile materials enhance the grounded, easy-going atmosphere, with flexible settings designed for communal gatherings as well as close encounters. Local craftsmanship is celebrated in a curated collection of hand-woven rugs and statement ceramics. Relaxed and understated, Beachouse is a timeless testament to Ibiza’s mindful lifestyle and free spirit.
